Rob Black

Having represented Australia in the Junior Men’s Quad in 2013 and the U21 Men’s Quad in 2014, in 2015, alongside William Mure, Chris Hayes and Alex Purnell, Black represented Australia in the U23 Men’s Quadruple Scull winning a bronze medal. The New South Welshman went on to then win back to back World U23 Championships titles in two different boat classes – the U23 Men’s Quadruple Scull in 2016 and the U23 Men’s Four in 2017. At the end of 2017, Black was selected to the Reinhold Batschi Men’s National Training Centre and in 2018 was named as part of Australia’s Men’s Eight for the World Rowing Cups and the World Rowing Championships. He names Canning River in Western Australia as his favourite place to row, while he enjoys listening to Beethoven pre-racing!
