Katrina Werry

Werry represented Australia in the U23 Women’s Eight in 2014, finishing fourth at the World Championships in that year.She also raced in 2013 in the U21 Australian Rowing Team. Werry was part of the victorious Victorian crew that won the Queen’s Cup for the Interstate Women’s Eight in 2015, 2016 and 2017 while in 2012 and 2013 she was part of the State’s Youth Eight.

In 2015, alongside Addy Dunkley-Smith, Werry will competed in the U23 Women’s Pair at the U23 World Championships, winning a bronze medal. In 2017, the Melbourne-born rower she was named in the Women’s Four for World Cups 2 and 3 and the World Rowing Championships alongside Lucy Stephan, Molly Goodman and Sarah Hawe.The crew went on to win both World Rowing Cups and the World Championships before winning the 2017 Australian Female Crew of the Year at the 2017 Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards. In 2018, Werry was named in Australia’s Women’s Eight for the World Rowing Cups.

Currently studying Clinical Myotherapy, enjoys rowing at Carrum Water Sports Centre in Victoria and likes to get hyped up pre-race by listening to Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.
