Georgina Howe

Georgie Howe began rowing in Year 8 after being given the opportunity at her high school, Melbourne Girls Grammar School. In 2011-12, she was part of the MGGS crew that won the Head of the School Girls and later becamse the National Champions after the crew won the National Schoolgirl VIII competition.

A Classical Studies student at Princeton University, Howe, as a freshman, was part of the 2014 winning crew that took home the Ivy League title in the Varsity, in a record-breaking time whole she went on the make the 2014 U23 Australian Rowing Team in the Women’s Eight where the crew came 4th narrowly missing out on a medal by 0.09 seconds.

This year Howe competed in the U23 Women’s Four alongside Jacinta Edmunds, Rachel Engel and Sarah Davis. She competed in the A-Final of the BW4- at the U23 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She has now been selected to join the Senior A Australian Women’s Eight as a reserve for 2015.
