Edward de Carvalho has represented Australia on various levels from the U23 stage upwards. In 2010 he competed in the u23 Lightweight Men’s Double and again in the same boat the following year. In 2013 De Carvalho competed in the Lightweight Men’s Quad at the World Rowing Championships, while the following year he raced in the Lightweight Men’s Double in Lucerne at the 2014 World Rowing Cup III.
In 2015 at the Nationals, De Carvalho claimed bronze medals in the Open Lightweight Men’s Single, Open Lightweight Men’s Four and in the Interstate Men’s Four (Penrith Cup). Victory for De Carvalho came in the Open Lightweight Men’s Quadruple Scull where he took home a gold medal.
