The Riverland Regatta, alternating annually between Renmark and Berri, is one of the highlights of the SA Rowing season. The Renmark Rowing Club has informed Rowing SA of its desire to see the main base of the Riverland Regatta (when held in Renmark) shifted from Jane Eliza Reserve closer to the centre of town and the Rowing Club itself – at Jarrett Memorial Gardens. A move closer to the town would offer an opportunity to make the event more accessible to the local community and create more visibility for rowing and the rowing club, simplify some of the infrastructure requirements, and open up a range of fundraising opportunities.
