Rowing SA is calling for expressions of interest from suitably experienced individuals to join a newly established State Team Coach/Selector Selection Panel, responsible for recruiting and appointing coaches and selectors across all Rowing SA State Team programs for the 2027 season.
This is a new structure introduced following our 2026 State Team Review, separating coach appointment from athlete selection. The panel’s job is to design and run a fair, transparent recruitment process — assessing and recommending applicants. It has no role in athlete selection, crew composition or on-water decisions; that remains with our State Team Selection Panel (STSP).
A background in rowing is not required. We’re looking for people with strong experience in:
- Recruitment and formal selection processes
- High-performance sport
- High-level coaching (any sport)
- Talent identification
- Communication and stakeholder management
