The younger sister of two-time Olympic silver medallist, Josh Dunkley-Smith, Addy Dunkley-Smith has represented Australia at both U21 and U23 level. In 2014 she competed in the U23 Women's Eight, and in 2015 she won a bronze medal U23 Women's Pair alongside Katrina Werry. Dunkley-Smith is a regular in Victoria's Queen's Cup winning Interstate Eight, with the Geelong-local in the crew for its 14th win in a row in 2018.
Dunkley-Smith has Bachelors and Honours degrees in Psychology and Psychophysiology and has worked in private and community based mental health organisations when not rowing. In 2018, Dunkley-Smith was selected in Australia's Women's Eight for the World Rowing Cups 2 and 3. She counts the Barwon River as her favourite place to row.
