School Rowing

School Rowing

School rowers make up the majority of membership at Rowing SA. To be a part of arguably the “ultimate team sport” in a school rowing program through a child’s formative years helps develop character, resilience, confidence, and strength. The rowing community welcomes each individual school as they help create culture, support regattas and provide atmosphere around our rowing venues.

If your school is not listed, and you would still like to get involved with rowing, check out our Club Rowing page.

School students can be a part of rowing even if it is not offered by their school. They are also able to have affiliations with both a club and school program if they are already part of a rowing school. This can help the athlete to continue rowing after their school program finishes, and is encouraged for young athletes who would like to take their rowing further.

The following are South Australian Schools with active rowing programs

Rowing clubs are made up of athletes of all ages, from school aged rowers through to masters. Many clubs provide opportunities to either learn to row or develop existing rowing abilities, in a supportive community environment. Many programs progress athletes to compete at a national or international level. Have a look at all the clubs affiliated with Rowing SA in Adelaide.
