Proud Victorian, Angus Widdicombe is a member of the Reinhold Batschi Men's National Training Centre. Widdicombe, who studies Environmental Science, first represented Australia last year in the U23 Men's Eight at the 2016 World Rowing U23 Championships. In 2017, Widdicombe raced in the Men's Eight at World Rowing Cups 2 and in the Men's Four at World Rowing Cup 3. At the 2017 World Rowing Championships, Widdicombe won silver alongside Darcy Wruck and James Rook in the Men's Coxed Pair. In 2018, Widdicombe was selected to represent Australia in the Men's Eight at the World Rowing Cups 2 and 3.
