Alexis Hancock fell into the sport of rowing in Year 8 while at school. Hancock was stood in line to go to the bathroom at her school’s sport centre and with the line so long she decided to go check out the rowing sign-up to pass the time and the rest is history! Hancock is the coxswain of the Junior Women’s Eight for the Australian Rowing Team.
In 2015, Hancock was part of the Methodist Ladies College First VIII and finished third at Head of the Schoolgirls and at the Australian National Championships.
