To All Clubs and Schools,
We would love to be welcoming you the start of the Winter Season and the 2021-22 Season in better circumstances but unfortunately this is not the case. We would like to assure you that our intention is to deliver our events where possible and within the guidelines and recommendations of SA Health. With this in mind, please find below information on the planned events for the Winter period, measures/amendments that will be required, and information on registration and entry.

Covid Amendments and Requirements
The current lockdown is due to expire on Tuesday the 27th of July. By this time new directions regarding the conduct of sport will be issued and we will have a greater idea of what will be possible for the Time Trial scheduled to take place on Saturday the 31st of July.
The close of entries into Time Trial #1 will be extended until 9:00am Wednesday, 28th of July. We will plan to run the Time Trial in some format if it is possible to do so under the health advice and restrictions at the time. We will obviously not be able to confirm this until those directions are issued and understand it will be a tight turnaround between receiving that information and placing entries. We would recommend all clubs and schools with athletes that may wish to participate in the Time Trial proceed with the registration of those athletes over the next few days to streamline the entry process next week.
Again, our plan is to still run the first of the Indoor Rowing Meets on the 9th of August at Uni SA’s Pridham Hall. We will be providing further information on these events shortly and will provide an update next week when the future of indoor sport becomes (hopefully) clearer.
Registrations & Entry
As usual all members wishing to compete in a Winter Series Regatta or a Time Trial will need to hold a Winter Membership ($30) on Rowing Manager and will need to complete the Rowing Australia Waiver. For further information of the registration processes for members please see Appendix 3 of the Rowing SA Regulations for Boat Racing (available here – https://rowingsa.asn.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Rowing-SA-Regs-for-Boat-Racing-2020_-Board-Endorsed-June-2020.pdf)
Please also note – all clubs and schools entering athletes into a Time Trial must provide a minimum of 1 volunteer to assist with safely running the event. Please email your volunteers name and contact details to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) prior to the close and entries.
Entry into all Winter Series Regattas and Time Trials will be through Rowing Manager.
Entry into the Indoor Rowing Meets will be conducted independently and on a pay per event basis. Entry categories and information will be available shortly.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or queries. We will continue to provide updates and new information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding during this time.
