To All Clubs and Schools,
Below is some important information for the Winter Season (Time Trials and Winter Series) and the 2020-21 Rowing SA Premiership Season.
This years Winter Season will be comprised of 3x General Entry Time Trials, and 3x Winter Series Regattas. The flyer for the winter season events can be found here and event information is available on rowing manager. The Winter Series will take the same format as the 2019 version with the first two Winter Series Regattas featuring repeat races (2x 500m & 2x 750m) and the final Winter Series Regatta being an 1800m Time Trial. Big and Small Boat options will be available.
Members competing in these events will need a Winter Membership and to have completed the RA Waiver prior to entry. The first Time Trial will take place on the 1st of August, entries will be due at 9:00am, Monday, July 27th.
Members intending to compete in the Head of the Yarra only will need to apply the registration only membership to their profiles.
The Winter Membership will expire on the 30th of September. After this date, members will require a summer season membership (and complete RA Waiver) to compete in events from October onwards. Please see the Membership Categories and Costs document for a full breakdown of available membership categories.
These rules will be in place for the 2020-21 Rowing SA Premiership Season. The calendar of events for the 2020-21 season is now available, as is the preliminary consolidated events calendar for west lakes. Please note – this calendar should only be used as a guide, as the council may add events throughout the year.
Please also note we are still assessing a proposal to hold the Masters, 3rd Grade and Novice State Champs over two weekends (the 17th and 24th of April).
Lastly, we are now calling for regatta host nominations for the 2020-21 season. Please follow the link for the nomination form to be returned by July 31st. We will conduct a 2nd round if required after this date. As in previous years, we are happy to consider co-hosting arrangements between two clubs or schools, and will be offering a priority hosting pick in the 2021-22 season for any school or club who wishes to host the 2020 SA State Championships.
