Perth to Fremantle

The day after the AMRC concludes, crews have a unique opportunity to take part in the iconic 17km Perth to Fremantle Head Race, a premiere event on the WA rowing calendar in either a single, coxed four/quad or eight. This amazing event commences at the Old Swan Brewery at the footsteps to Kings Park and meanders down the Swan Rover toward the ocean. Detouring into Claremont Bay and various yacht clubs, with a few tricky bends it finishes with a straight sprint to the line at Fremantle Rowing Club. With festivities and presentations to be held at the Swan Yacht Club right next door to the rowing club. Don’t forget to consider this event when looking at your boat hire options. Racing commences at 7:00am and interstate visitors can still make it to the airport for flights from approx. midday (if not earlier).
